Friends of a grieving Miami family say Stanley Blanc, 16, wanted to wear the clothes of his 14-year-old brother, Stephen, but Stephen didn't want him to—and now both boys are dead in a murder-suicide. Relatives say Stephen pulled a gun and shot his older brother in their home before shooting himself in a parking lot. "Right before my eyes my brother just shot my other brother," a third brother, 18-year-old Mark, tells CBS. "I heard my second brother die because he shot himself."
Mark describes the disagreement as "a small petty argument over clothes that escalated into a fight." He says he doesn't know where his younger brother got the gun, but it didn't belong to anybody in the house. The situation, he says, escalated incredibly quickly and he feels guilty that he wasn't able to save his brothers. Dozens of neighbors and friends gathered outside the family's home in Miami's Little Haiti neighborhood last night for an impromptu vigil. One neighbor says the boys' mother is inconsolable. "A murder and a suicide, she must be going through hell," she tells Local10. (More Miami stories.)
