No. 8 Georgetown finally beat Villanova at home. But it took an historically bad shooting performance by the Wildcats, and the Hoyas still needed a home-court call with 0.1 seconds left in regulation. Freshman Corey Stokes was ruled to have fouled Jonathan Wallace after a Villanova turnover, and Wallace calmly hit both to win it, 55-53.

The Wildcats failed to hit on 19 straight attempts from the floor in the second half, but they then climbed back in it from 12 points down, tying the game with 1:06 to play.  For their part, Georgetown had just two field goals in the game's final eight minutes and were outrebounded, 41-36.
