After 18 years of marriage, Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas are over. Griffith filed for divorce yesterday, citing irreconcilable differences, the AP reports. She wants spousal support, child support, and sole physical (but joint legal) custody of their 17-year-old daughter, but sources tell TMZ the divorce is amicable. What happened? They've "had issues for a long time," one source tells Page Six. "They used to be so affectionate with each other, but more recently they’ve been drifting apart." Another says that for a while now, they've only stayed together because of their daughter and Banderas' Catholic beliefs.

As for the official word from the couple, they say in a statement, "We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost-20-year marriage in a loving and friendly manner, honoring and respecting each other, our family and friends, and the beautiful time we have spent together." Griffith, 56, has been married three times before (two of those times to Don Johnson); Banderas, 53, has been married once before. No word on what Griffith plans to do about the tattoo of "Antonio" inside a heart on her shoulder. (More Melanie Griffith stories.)
