With Tracy Morgan recovering after a car accident that killed friend and fellow comedian James McNair, Radar looks back on 11 more deadly crashes involving celebrities. Five notable ones:

  • Ryan Dunn: The 34-year-old Jackass star had a blood alcohol level of .196 and was going 130mph when his Porsche flew off a Pennsylvania road in 2011, smashed through a guardrail, traveled into the woods, and erupted in flames. He and his passenger both died.
  • James Dean: Of Dean's Porsche Spyder 550, actor Alec Guinness warned the 24-year-old, "If you get in that car you will be found dead in it by this time next week." Indeed, a week later, on Sept. 30, 1995, Dean collided with another car and was killed.

  • Grace Kelly: The 52-year-old actress and princess of Monaco suffered a stroke while driving, missed a turn, and went off a 120-foot cliff in 1982. She died, but her daughter, Princess Stephanie, survived.
  • Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes: The TLC member was driving an SUV while on vacation in Honduras when she swerved to avoid another car, hit two trees, and flipped over. She died in the 2002 accident; she was 30 years old.
  • Randy "Macho Man" Savage: He had a heart attack while driving his Jeep Wrangler in 2011 and ended up driving into oncoming traffic before colliding head-on with a tree. The 58-year-old died (he was killed by heart disease, not the crash), but his wife survived.
