Saturday Night Live's first new show since the writers' strike began will be hosted by former head writer Tina Fey, MSNBC reports. SNL was the only late-night comedy show to go AWOL for the whole strike. "SNL thrives during an election year and they can’t wait to get back on," says an NBC exec. The show is scheduled for Feb. 23.

The show has been gone for so long, MSNBC writes, that the opening skit from the second-to-last show featured a Halloween party at the house of Hillary Clinton. The real Barack Obama made a cameo. The show is slated for four consecutive weeks of production, a rarity, and Juno star Ellen Page is lined up for the March 1 telecast. (More Saturday Night Live stories.)
