Tracy Morgan is suing Walmart over the crash that still has him struggling to recover after more than a month, reports CNN. Morgan and others in his limo say the chain was "careless and negligent" in regard to the Walmart tractor-trailer that slammed into their vehicle on the New Jersey Turnpike. Among other things, the suit says driver Kevin Roper had been awake more than 24 straight hours, in part because he had to commute 700 miles from his home in Georgia to a Walmart site in Delaware before his driving shift even began, reports the Hollywood Reporter.
The lawsuit says Morgan sustained "severe painful bodily injuries, including but not limited to multiple fractures which required multiple surgeries, extensive medical treatment and will require significant physical rehabilitation." Roper has pleaded not guilty to charges that include vehicular homicide in the crash that killed Morgan's fellow comedian James McNair.
