Kids, don't screw around on double-decker buses. A California teen died yesterday, two days after hitting a highway overpass while standing on the top floor of an open-air double-decker bus, the LA Times reports. The boy, identified as 16-year-old Mason Zisette, was one of about 45 passengers on a Star Line Tours bus chartered for a private party. Most of the passengers were under 18, with just a few adult chaperones.

Mason may have been dancing on a seat with his back to the overpass, says a witness, who tells NBC 4 Mason's head may have slammed into one of the freeway signs hanging from the overpass, rather than the overpass itself. The bus was traveling at about 45mph at the time. It's not the first time something like this has happened. (More buses stories.)
