Over 200 former Kansas players and coaches who were in Lawrence today for a celebration of KU's 110 years of basketball left Allen Fieldhouse happy, after the Jayhawks stifled Colorado, 69-45. Mario Chalmers led the nine KU players who scored with 13 points, and the hosts held Colorado's leading scorer, Richard Roby, to one-of-11 shooting and two points, reports AP.
A 13-0 run in the second half sealed the deal for the third-ranked Jayhawks (24-2), who maintained their tiny lead in the Big 12 Conference. Roby, a senior who's led the last-place Buffaloes in scoring for three straight seasons, saw his team lose its fourth straight at KU by more than 20 points, and its 25th consecutive overall at Lawrence.
