Officials are still trying to determine the identities of four men whose bodies were found floating off the South Florida coastline. The bodies were discovered yesterday off Hollywood Beach. The Miami Herald reports the remains were taken to the Broward County medical examiner's office and the Broward Sheriff's Office has joined the investigation.
The US Coast Guard says a Good Samaritan spotted two bodies yesterday morning. Search crews later found two more bodies. Officials say all four bodies were in bad condition, indicating they had been in the water for some time. Crews searched by air and sea over 60 miles for any other people. The air search was called off at sundown, though Coast Guard officials said a cutter was equipped to continue the search. (More dead bodies stories.)
