Some White House fence breaches are more serious than others. Unlike last month's laugher when a toddler snuck through, a man hopped the fence yesterday about 7:20pm and actually made it inside the White House, reports NBC News. Most who make it over the fence get tackled on the North Lawn, but 42-year-old Omar Gonzalez of Copperas Cove, Texas, didn't get stopped until he was inside the North Portico doors, reports the New York Times. He was arrested without incident and taken to a hospital for evaluation, and it's still not clear why he made the mad dash. The Obamas weren't home at the time, though the president and daughters Sasha and Malia had left just minutes before. The incident triggered a partial evacuation. (More White House stories.)
