It took 35 years, but No. 16 Drake finally got its third win ever over No. 8 Butler today, reports the Associated Press. Josh Young scored 25 points as Drake (24-3) won the ESPN Bracketbuster matchup 71-64. The two mid-major schools had not played since the early 70's. Butler (25-3) leads the all-time series 4-3.

Klayton Korver hit a 3-pointer with 5:30 left to put Drake up for good at 61-58 and help end Butler's 9-game winning streak. A.J. Graves led Butler with 18 points, and cut the lead to 2 late, but the visiting Bulldogs were able to pull away from the home 'Dogs for their first non-conference win over a Top 25 school since 1980.
