A newlywed whose husband was killed in a car crash just hours after their wedding tells WBNS that it happened because of a bottle moonshine. Ruth Bloomberg says that friend Tim Tebbe was driving the couple to get his wedding present for them, the aforementioned moonshine. At some point, Tebbe lost control of his pickup, which hit an embankment and then rolled in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. The crash killed Andrew Bloomberg, 27, and Elizabeth Shelton, 26, and injured Tebbe and Ruth Bloomberg.

"Speed and alcohol were definitely factors in the crash," says Wyandot County Sheriff Mike Hetzel in the Chillicothe Gazette. In fact, Hetzel thinks Tebbe might have been going more than 100mph, reports AP, though Bloomberg says the speed was nowhere near that. Tebbe pleaded not guilty yesterday to charges of vehicular assault and aggravated vehicular assault, and Bloomberg says she doesn't want to see her friend go to jail. "He already has to deal with it for the rest of his life." (Click to read about a paraplegic vet who was able to stand up for the couple's first dance.)
