The comedian is backtracking after he claimed to be mildly autistic in an interview with NBC News, noting, "I think I'm on the spectrum" as "basic social engagement is really a struggle." Now he tells Access Hollywood, "I don't have autism; I'm not on the spectrum." He says he watched a play about the disorder and "I related to it on some level. That's all I was saying." As for those who say he oversimplified the disorder, Seinfeld says, per the Hollywood Reporter, it was all blown out of proportion.
