Just days before the Ferguson grand jury handed down its decision, two men were indicted on federal weapons charges. At the time, details were scarce. Now, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch talks to sources who say Brandon Orlando Baldwin and Olajuwon Davis's alleged plan involved blowing up the Gateway Arch and killing St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch and Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson. Sources tell the paper it's unclear whether the men could have actually carried out the alleged plot.

In the case of the Arch, sources say the plan had the bomb being transported to the observation deck atop the Arch. But there is airport-like security in place for those who wish to access the deck. The paper reports the men allegedly did buy what an undercover agent told them was a pipe bomb, and they allegedly said they needed two more and could afford to buy them once one suspect's girlfriend's Electronic Benefit Transfer card was reloaded. So far, the two have only been charged with trying to buy two pistols illegally, but the sources expect additional charges to be filed. KSDK reports the two had been under investigation for months.
