Members of the US military who don their uniforms in Facebook photos may be putting their lives at risk, according to a new warning from federal authorities. The FBI and Homeland Security have warned current and former service members to rid their social media accounts of any military connections, reports ABC News. The fear is that "violent extremists" are poring over such accounts looking for targets inside the US.

It's actually the third such bulletin in two months, reports Fox News. The Army advised troops in October that the Islamic State had called on supporters to dig up the addresses of service members online and to "slaughter" them at home. The Pentagon, meanwhile, suggested that its employees remove any Defense Department connections from their social media posts for the same reason. (More social media stories.)
