More trouble for Uber: A driver for the ride-sharing service has been charged with rape, among other things, for a Dec. 6 incident in Massachusetts. The alleged victim says Alejandro Done, 46, picked her up from a Boston residence after she had been out with friends and, instead of taking her home to Cambridge, pulled into a secluded area and got into the back seat with her, where he allegedly hit her, choked her, and sexually assaulted her after locking the doors and covering her mouth. Done was identified as the suspect via Uber company records, the AP reports; he had passed a background check. Done has pleaded not guilty to charges of rape, assault to rape, kidnapping, and assault and battery, and he was today ordered held without bail. (More Uber stories.)
