Woody Allen is getting ready to make his first-ever TV series, though in a press release, he doesn't quite sound prepared: "I don’t know how I got into this. I have no ideas and I’m not sure where to begin." The filmmaker will write and direct half-hour episodes for a "full season" of the as-yet-untitled show on Amazon's Prime Instant Video, Business Insider reports. The announcement comes after another of Amazon's shows, Transparent, won two Golden Globes, MarketWatch reports.

Episodes will be viewable in the US, UK, and Germany. The cast and other information is yet to be revealed. "From Annie Hall to Blue Jasmine, Woody has been at the creative forefront of American cinema and we couldn’t be more excited to premiere his first TV series exclusively on Prime Instant Video next year," says Amazon Studios VP Roy Price. Says Allen: "My guess is that Roy Price will regret this." (More Woody Allen stories.)
