After five years, Susan Sarandon has split with the much-younger man she started dating in the wake of her breakup with Tim Robbins. Sarandon, 68, and Jonathan Bricklin, 37, are both involved in ping-pong hall SPiN New York, but despite their shared passion, a reality show has come between them, sources tell Page Six. Both appear on Morgan Spurlock's AOL series Connected, which debuts on March 31 and follows six New Yorkers and their partners for six months. Apparently Sarandon wasn't a fan of the process.
"It caused a lot of strain in the relationship," says a source. "It’s documented for the show that Susan breaks up with him because she doesn’t want to be involved with the show. She says, 'You’re a cast member, I’m not.'" The source adds that "as of now, they’re working on things," but it's not clear if they'll reunite. Sarandon is, however, listed as Bricklin's girlfriend in a press release for the show. (More Susan Sarandon stories.)
