The thing about being the pope is that strangers aren't going to believe it if you call out of the blue. Which is why Franco Rabuffi hung up on a man calling himself Pope Francis on April 27. And when the man called back, the ticked-off Rabuffi hung up on him again. It was, of course, actually Pope Francis, and he managed to convince Rabuffi of such on the third try, reports AFP. "I was speechless, but Francis came to my rescue, saying that what had happened was funny." Rabuffi had written to Francis about an illness, and the pope was calling to console him. (Francis likes making personal phone calls, even to strangers.)
