The Matthew McConaughey/University of Houston brouhaha continues: McConaughey is giving the commencement speech at the school Friday, and it earlier emerged that UH is paying him $135,000 to do so. Now it turns out that on top of that, the school is paying $9,500 so that McConaughey can arrive via private jet, the Houston Chronicle reports; it may also pay for a "VIP Presidential" hotel suite and possibly two more "deluxe" hotel rooms if McConaughey decides to stick around for the night. Of the aforementioned $135,000, McConaughey is donating most of it to his nonprofit foundation, but $5,000 of it is considered an "expenses buyout" that covers things like meals, incidentals, and—yes, really—a "groomer." Click for more on the bizarre controversy, which also saw a shady talent booking agency receive $20,250 from the school. (More Matthew McConaughey stories.)
