At least 43 Ismaili Shia Muslims were killed and up to 19 others were injured today when gunmen boarded a bus in Karachi, Pakistan, and opened fire. Officials say six men on motorcycles, dressed as policemen, stopped the bus as it traveled from a gated community home to many Ismailis. About 60 men, women, and children were on board; the youngest victim was 16, CNN reports, noting most were shot in the head. As the driver was killed, an injured passenger reportedly drove the bus to a hospital after the gunmen fled. Jundullah (a Pakistani Taliban splinter group) and ISIS have both claimed responsibility, the BBC reports. (More Pakistan stories.)
