America's 10 Favorite Grocery Stores

America's most beloved grocery store is once again Trader Joe's. That's the conclusion of Market Force Information, which surveyed 7,200 people on 14 grocery chains. It's the third consecutive year Trader Joe's has taken the top spot, with Publix once again nipping at its heels. The top 10, based on consumers' satisfaction with their shopping experience and the likelihood that they'd recommend the store:

  1. Trader Joe's
  2. Publix (ranked as having the speediest checkouts, being cleanest)
  3. ALDI (No. 1 for value)
  4. Hy-Vee
  5. H-E-B
  6. Costco
  7. Kroger
  8. ShopRite (best sales and promotions)
  9. WinCo Foods
  10. Meijer
Walmart brought up the rear of the 14, with a Composite Loyalty Index score of 24% to Trader Joe's 78%. Click for the full results of the survey. (More grocery stores stories.)
