As part of Megyn Kelly's sit-downs with Duggar family members this week, it was revealed that Josh Duggar's sisters Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard were two of his victims. The women's interview with Kelly airs on Fox's The Kelly File tonight at 9 EDT, and Kelly has given Extra a preview; the AP also has details. Jill, 24, and Jessa, 22, tell Kelly they weren't aware their brother had touched them until their parents broke the news to them after Josh confessed. "All of the children went through counseling, all of them, not just Josh, not just the victims, all of them went through licensed therapist counseling to try to get through what happened," Kelly explains. That wasn't the only move the Duggar parents took.
The sisters say the kids were barred from playing hide-and-seek, and that locks were placed on the bedrooms. How Jessa frames her brother then: as "a young boy in puberty" who was "a little too curious about girls." Kelly says the women told her that they had forgiven Josh, and that during an emotional interview in which tears were shed, "they also talked about the journey from the pain to the forgiveness, and it was not without some bumps in the road." She adds that their pain now is related to the fact that "they never chose to have this piece of their family story put out there, and I think they are struggling with what people are assuming about their family and about what happened to them." (In an earlier preview of the interview, Jessa said calling Josh a child molester is "so overboard and a lie.")
