Target's pharmacy will be no more. CVS Health has announced a $1.9 billion acquisition deal that will see it take over more than 1,660 Target pharmacies across 47 states. CVS will also acquire Target's nearly 80 clinics, to be renamed for CVS' in-house MinuteClinic brand, Reuters reports. On top of that, new Target stores with pharmacy services will include a CVS pharmacy, with about 20 new clinics set to open in Target stores within three years. CVS says the deal will help it expand in Denver; Seattle; Portland, Ore.; and Salt Lake City. Shares in CVS and Target have risen 0.4% and 1.7%, respectively, as of this writing, per CNNMoney.
