Kraft cheese slices, aka "pasteurized prepared cheese product," were recalled on Friday after customers reported a choking hazard. The affected products are three- and four-pound packages of American and White American Kraft Singles with "best used by" dates of Dec. 29, 2015 through Jan. 4, 2016, and the code S54 or S55, according to USA Today. The wrapper on the singles may not remove completely, and the piece of plastic left behind caused three choking incidents. "Approximately 36,000 cases of the recalled product were shipped by Kraft Heinz to retailers in the US, Puerto Rico and Grand Cayman," the company says in a statement. Those in possession of the recalled product should return it to the point of purchase or contact Kraft Heinz Consumer Relations for a refund. (More Kraft Foods stories.)
