New Ashley Madison Dump Includes CEO's Emails

The Ashley Madison hackers may have just leaked CEO Noel Biderman's emails as part of a much larger data dump today, Gizmodo reports. The majority of this newest leak, which is twice the size of the previous 10-gigabyte leak, appears to be the business and corporate emails of the Avid Life Media CEO, according to Ars Technica. Avid Life Media is the parent company of infidelity website AshleyMadison.com. Researchers believe this second data dump, which contained a note reading, "Hey Noel, you can admit it's real now," is legitimate. Motherboard reports people within the company had been trying to discredit the earlier leaked data, which included customer passwords, email addresses, and more.

In addition to Biderman's emails, the newest leaked data appears to include the source code for the Ashley Madison website and apps, along with more customer data. Researchers say the source code could let other hackers do even more damage. Gizmodo notes that this most-recent release also brings up the question of just how much stolen data the hackers still have. Hackers have previously stated they are attempting to punish Ashley Madison for its immoral business practices, as well as its cheating customers.
