There's no time to consult a dictionary in the midst of a jealous rage, apparently. Police in Connecticut say they charged a 20-year-old woman with criminal mischief on Thursday after she allegedly keyed the cars of her ex and a former friend but misspelled a key word in the process. It didn't take Stamford police long to establish a motive after finding the word "wore" etched into the friend's car, reports the Stamford Advocate. Assuming the speller had left out an "h," they took note of angry texts Shannon Csapilla had sent to her ex-boyfriend claiming he had cheated on her with the friend, along with his testimony that Csapilla admitted to the crime.
When officers initially questioned Csapilla, she denied the Aug. 7 vandalism, which included slashing the tires of both vehicles, police say. But immediately after leaving police headquarters, she allegedly posted a photo of the building on Snapchat, and captioned it, "Stamford police have nothing on me." Someone who received the message quickly informed police. Little did Csapilla know, "we did have enough and we obtained two arrest warrants from a judge and took her into custody at her home," an officer says.
