Benjamin Golden's legal troubles are still growing: The former Taco Bell exec is now being sued by Edward Caban, the Uber driver he's accused of drunkenly assaulting in a video that went viral. The driver's lawsuit is seeking more than $25,000 in damages for "assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress," reports ABC7.

Golden, 32, who was fired by Taco Bell on Monday and slapped with extra criminal charges on Tuesday, is "hugely remorseful and very upset that he conducted himself in the way that he did" and would like to apologize to Caban in person, his lawyer tells CNBC. She says her client is one of the most gentle people she has ever met and he can't remember anything about the assault he was arrested for in Costa Mesa, Calif., last Friday. (More Uber stories.)
