The weirder stories of late about smuggling contraband into prison tend to involve drones. This one involves fishing line and a McMuffin. Authorities in London caught a man trying to smuggle a bundle of goods, including a knife, a mobile phone, pot, cocaine, vodka, and yes, a McDonald's McMuffin, to an unknown inmate in Wormwood Scrubs prison, reports the BBC. Karl Jensen was captured on security footage outside the prison—in broad daylight, with cars passing him—tying the bag to a fishing line that was then hoisted into a cell window.

He got a 36-month sentence and his girlfriend a lesser "community order" as an accomplice. A prison official spoke of the serious consequences of smuggling drugs and weapons into prison, but as Vice notes, "he declined to comment on the McMuffin." (More prison stories.)
