The New York Times likes Adele's "Hello" (who doesn't?), but apparently it doesn't actually have the song memorized. "By midsong, she is also at her best. Even when she is singing at her most powerful—'Hello from the outsiiiiiide, I must have called a thousand tiiiiiiimes'—she’s never anything other than calm," read the original Times review by Jon Caramanica, per BuzzFeed. But, er, that's not actually the line, as fans pointed out to the Times.
When Adele sings "Hello from the outsiiiiiide,” the line that follows is "at least I can say that I’ve triiiiiied." It's when she sings "Hello from the other siiiiiide" (emphasis ours) that "I must have called a thousand tiiiiiiimes" follows. And thus, we get possibly the greatest correction in NYT history on the corrected version of the review: "Correction: November 18, 2015. An earlier version of this review misstated a song lyric. Adele sings 'Hello from the other siiiiiide,' not 'outsiiiiiide.'" (Click to watch the groundbreaking "Hello" video.)
