Marissa Mayer's "limited" maternity leave has begun: "Zack and I are excited to announce that our identical twin girls were born early this morning. Our whole family is doing great!" the Yahoo CEO tweeted Thursday. As Mashable notes, just yesterday Yahoo announced a big "turnaround plan" and Mayer did "a full round of major press appearances and shareholder announcements." Business Insider notes that Mayer, whose leadership of Yahoo is facing criticism, was asked about her upcoming maternity leave Wednesday on CNBC. Her response: "It will happen later this month. And yes, there’s always a lot to do on both the home front and the work front." (More Marissa Mayer stories.)
