Mötley Crüe played what they promised would be their last-ever concert on New Year's Eve at the Staples Center in Los Angeles—and Billboard reports that they not only rocked the house, they had a mishap sure to go down in heavy metal history. Drummer Tommy Lee became stuck upside down on his "Crüecifly" drum kit roller coaster and roadies had to climb up to free him. "Come on guys, help. Come get me," he said, per Billboard. "I can’t believe this is happening on the last night. I knew something wasn’t right when I took off."
The band—with the original lineup of Lee, singer Vince Neil, guitarist Mick Mars, and bassist Nikki Sixx—wrapped up the night, their 18-month farewell tour, and their 34-year career with "Home Sweet Home," reports the Los Angeles Times. The band has promised that this really is the end, and members have signed a contract stipulating that individual members can't tour under the Crüe name. "In a true spoiled-brat type of way, we would rather break our toy than have someone else have it," Sixx told the LAT earlier this year. (Heavy metal also lost legendary Motörhead frontman Lemmy in the final week of 2015.)
