A beauty queen may have stabbed a professional soccer player, allegedly, but it's an entirely different offense that's putting her crown in jeopardy, KING5 reports. Last month, police arrived at a Seattle apartment occupied by Miss Washington USA Stormy Keffeler and professional soccer player Marco Pappa. Pappa had been stabbed in the stomach and required immediate surgery. Police say both Pappa and Keffeler changed their stories about what happened. The incident is still under investigation, and no arrests have been made. Meanwhile, Keffeler is in danger of having her title stripped after failing to disclose a DUI last April, according to KOMO News. "You have to disclose everything—if you have any nudity, if you've ever had a felony," Miss Washington USA co-executive producer Maureen Francisco tells KIRO.
Keffeler was driving on two flat tires and had a BAC nearly three times the legal limit when she was arrested in April, KING5 reports. According to KOMO, she pleaded guilty in September and was crowned Miss Washington USA the following month. Five days after that, she was sentenced; in December, she spent two days in jail, KIRO reports. Pageant officials didn't find out about the DUI until last week, according to KOMO. "I am so sorry to anybody that I've disappointed," Keffeler said after news of the DUI came to light earlier this week. "All of this is just a huge mistake and misunderstanding and I never intended to falsify information." Prior to Pappa's stabbing making the news Thursday, Keffeler said she had turned her life around following the DUI. "This lesson was heard loud and clear," she said. "This is something that's going to stick with me forever." (More beauty queen stories.)
