Apparently, the Tony the Tiger Twitter account has been besieged by pornography, sexual propositions, and more since the cartoon cereal mascot started blocking furries on social media, the Guardian reports. Let's back up. In general, furries are people who sexually enjoy cartoon animals and occasionally dress up in animal costumes for sex. "If the suave Disney version of Robin Hood—who is a literal fox—spoke to you on a romantic level, you may appreciate where they’re coming from," the Guardian explains. In November, Gawker noted that "pretty much any of Tony's tweets" were being met with immediate come-ons from furries.
One furry tells the Huffington Post that lavishing sexual attention on the Tony the Tiger Twitter account was a bit of an "inside joke." But the account started blocking massive numbers of furries—even ones who hadn't tweeted at it—this week, the Guardian reports. The move wasn't taken well. "Tony, stop blocking random furries," one fan tweeted. "We're not all after your frost." Then came the wave of cartoon animal porn. "Let’s keep things gr-r-reat—& family-friendly if you could," a fed-up Tony tweeted Wednesday. "Cubs could be watching." While it appears many of Tony's devotees have listened—with some moving on to Cheetos' Chester Cheetah, who is "straight-up flirting with them," the Guardian notes—the inappropriate tweets are still trickling in.
