The Sabres’ six-goal third period erased a 4-1 deficit to the Tampa Bay Lightning and propelled Buffalo to a 7-4 victory. Thomas Vanek and Jochen Hecht each scored two goals during the Sabres’ remarkable final period, which featured two goals within 16 seconds and a four-goal, 8-minute stretch, according to the Associated Press.

Jason Pominville had two goals and two assists, Derek Roy recorded a goal and two assists, and Drew Stafford assisted on three tallies for the Sabres.
