As Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton began debating in Michigan, Sanders got some good news from Maine: He's been declared the winner in the state's caucuses on Sunday, reports AP. That's the third state victory for Sanders this weekend and his eighth overall, with Politico noting that Maine fits the pattern of his previous wins with its largely white population. Turnout was so heavy that some voters waited in line four hours, reports the Portland Press Herald. The state's 25 delegates will be awarded proportionately, and Clinton had a 200-plus lead in pledged delegates going into the night. Factoring in superdelegates, her lead is about three times greater. (More Maine caucuses stories.)
