Former Gawker Editor Has Disturbing Answer on Sex Tapes

Hulk Hogan is suing Gawker for publishing a sex tape that shows the wrestler with his best friend's wife, and in court Wednesday, the former editor-in-chief of Gawker had a disturbing answer when asked about his policy on sex tapes. In a taped deposition shown to jurors, Hogan's attorney asked AJ Daulerio to envision a circumstance in which it wouldn't have been appropriate to publish a sex tape: "If they were a child," Daulerio responded, per the New York Daily News. The lawyer pressed, asking what specific age Daulerio would feel is too young. Daulerio's response: "Four."

"No 4-year-old sex tapes, OK," the attorney said. Daulerio had previously defended his choice to publish the Hogan tape because it was "newsworthy" and "amusing," and, per the Hollywood Reporter, he insisted he himself would only be "briefly" embarrassed if a sex tape of him was ever published. In response to Daulerio's answer about age limits, a Gawker spokesperson says the former editor was trying to say that he would never post a sex tape showing "any child," but that "he obviously made the point in a flip way."
