Marco Rubio has the endorsement of 14 of his fellow senators, while Ted Cruz has a goose egg on that front. But that's finally changing on Thursday afternoon: Utah's Mike Lee will publicly back his friend Cruz, reports BuzzFeed News. Lee is also a friend of Rubio's, and he's been supportive of both campaigns, which makes this particularly bad news for Rubio. Worse, Lee will deliver his endorsement at a Cruz rally in Rubio's home state of Florida, reports Politico, which describes Rubio's campaign as being on "life support."

As for those 14 Rubio endorsements, NBC News reports that even some of those senators sound like they suspect the end is near. "I'm not going to give him any strategy or tell him what to do or what not to do, I'll let his people do that," says one, Dean Heller of Nevada. "But I think he's going to have to really rethink moving forward after Florida." (One thing Rubio has ruled out: being Trump's VP candidate.)
