Justin Timberlake is out with his first new song in 3 years, and let's just say the reaction has been good. "Can't Stop the Feeling" was written for the soundtrack of the DreamWorks animated movie, Trolls, in which Timberlake also voices a character. Here's what people are saying:

  • USA Today dubs it "the feel-good song of summer" and Variety wonders if it's "the next 'Happy'" (Pharrell's hit in 2013). They're not alone: Quite a few outlets are comparing it to "Happy" and calling it the song of the summer.
  • Elle's take: "It's guaranteed to have you dancing in your seat."

  • "It's dripping with '80s style," declares Business Insider.
  • The New York Post agrees, noting that the song "channels Timberlake’s love for vintage Michael Jackson."
  • Some other adjectives getting tossed around: "delightful," "peppy, buoyant," "joyful," "sunny," "infectious."
  • Hopefully you like the song, because as Esquire notes, you won't be able to escape it now: "Every bar, every club, every cab, every party, every wedding, every birthday, every baby shower, every morning on the way to work, every evening on the way home, every barbecue, every time you put on the radio it will be: 'Just dance, dance, dance.'"
Timberlake recently "memed himself." (More Justin Timberlake stories.)
