Tennessee girl Carlie Trent is home with loved ones and the uncle accused of kidnapping her is behind bars. The 9-year-old, who was rescued by men searching a remote area on Thursday, spent a night in a hospital before being reunited with family members including her little sister, Katie, on Friday, People reports. She was seen laughing and playing with her sister after the homecoming, WCYB reports. Her aunt, Linda Simpson, who is married to alleged kidnapper Gary Simpson, tells NBC that the family plans to give Carlie space to recover from the ordeal that began when Simpson picked her up from school on May 4, claiming her father had been in an accident. "We just have to let Carlie do as she wants," says the aunt, who is the sister of Trent's father. "We're gonna love her and support her."

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director Mark Gwyn says there has been no sign that Trent was harmed by her uncle—who bought items including a bikini and lipstick just before he picked her up—but the investigation is ongoing, the AP reports. "Thank God she was rescued safe," Gwyn told reporters. Simpson, 57, is being held on $1 million bond on charges including especially aggravated kidnapping and is on suicide watch in solitary confinement, WCYB reports. His wife tells HLN that he seemed normal the morning that he allegedly kidnapped the girl, whom the couple briefly had custody of while her father was in prison. She says she has no plans to visit him in jail. "I just don't want to see his face," she says. (The rescuers say God "gave them a clue" to the girl's whereabouts.)
