Alexis Bledel is a new mom—though that statement shouldn't imply that she just became a mom. Because the ex-Gilmore Girls star apparently had a baby boy with husband Vincent Kartheiser of Mad Men last fall, keeping both the pregnancy and the birth under tight wraps, Entertainment Tonight reports. And the "newborn" may have remained a secret if it weren't for Bledel's GG co-star Scott Patterson, who apparently leaked the news while chatting with Glamour about the show's revival on Netflix.
When Patterson was asked how it felt to see Bledel as a full-fledged adult now, he replied, "It was great to see her. She's really blossomed as a woman and now she's a proud new mother and married and happy. … We're comparing notes because my son is about a year and a half older than her young son. I’m showing her photos and videos and what to expect." People, which notes that Bledel and Kartheiser met on the set of Mad Men, says it got confirmation from Bledel's rep on the birth. (Their marriage was apparently a big secret, too.)
