A body found in an overgrown vacant lot on Detroit's east side has been identified as a 13-year-old boy abducted two days ago from a city street, the AP reports. The Wayne County medical examiner's office says Deontae Mitchell's mother made the identification Thursday afternoon. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday to determine how he died. Deontae's cousin told police they were riding bikes Tuesday night when they saw an apparently drunk man drop money while urinating outside a market. The cousin said Deontae picked up the money and they rode away. Surveillance video shows Deontae being pursued by a man police believe to be 45-year-old Gregory Walker, who grabbed his arm and forced him into a car. Walker, the chief suspect, has been arrested in Toledo, Ohio. (More child murder stories.)
