Let this be a lesson to body-shamers everywhere. The Playboy model who took a photo of a naked woman in an LA Fitness locker room then posted it to Snapchat with the message "If I can't unsee this then you can't either" is facing a whole host of repercussions for her actions. The Los Angeles Times reports LA Fitness has permanently revoked Dani Mathers' membership and banned her from all of its locations. “Her behavior is appalling and puts every member at risk of losing their privacy,” says LA Fitness executive Jill Greuling, who notes that taking photos in lockers rooms is against the gym's rules. “This is not only our rule, but common decency.”
After being notified by LA Fitness, the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating Mathers, Playboy's 2015 Playmate of the Year, for allegedly "disseminating private images," Entertainment Tonight reports. If the victim, whose identity is still unknown, comes forward, Mathers could be charged with a misdemeanor. According to TMZ, the 29-year-old has also been suspended indefinitely from her gig with the Heidi and Frank radio show on KLOS in Los Angeles. Mathers apologized for posting the photo on Snapchat, claiming she meant to send the image as a private message. “That was absolutely wrong and not what I meant to do,” the Times quotes Mathers as saying. “I know that body-shaming is wrong. That is not the type of person I am.” (More nude photo stories.)
