Last week, Donald Trump declared Hillary Clinton to be the founder of the Islamic State. On Wednesday, he downgraded her to co-founder with some particularly harsh language aimed at President Obama. "ISIS is honoring President Obama,” he said at campaign rally in Florida, per the Guardian. “He is the founder of ISIS. He founded ISIS. And, I would say the co-founder would be crooked Hillary Clinton.” On CNBC Thursday morning, Trump reiterated the charge, notes a post at Gawker. "In sports they have awards—he gets the Most Valuable Player award," he said. "Him and Hillary. She gets it, too."

In his Wednesday speech, Trump blamed Obama's Mideast policies for making the situation there worse and actually strengthening the terror group, reports the Hill. “Instead of allowing some small forces behind to maybe, just maybe, keep it under control, we pulled it out,” said Trump."Then Obama came in, and normally you want to clean up and he made a bigger mess. We’re not respected. We’re laughed at all over the world.” During his speech, Trump also repeatedly used the president's full name—Barack Hussein Obama—while laying out the criticism.
