Derrick Rose had 21 points and nine assists, and Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 25 points, as Memphis handled Texas with ease, 85-67, to advance to the Final Four. The third time was a charm for John Calipari and the Tigers as they finally reached the national semifinals after losing in the Elite Eight the past two seasons, the Commercial Appeal reports.

It was over early as UM led 29-13 after 12 minutes with Rose, who was named most outstanding player of the South Regional, outscoring the Longhorns by himself. Knocked as a poor foul-shooting team, they converted 30-of-36 today as Texas was forced to foul often while trying to play catchup in the second half. Memphis plays UCLA on Saturday.
