Donald Trump is taking a relatively low-key response to the news that Hillary Clinton has pneumonia. "It was quite sad to be honest with you, and I hope she gets well soon," he said on CNBC, per CBS News. But he added that it was "interesting" that her doctor said she was diagnosed on Friday even though she “was coughing very, very badly a week ago and even before that, if you remember.” He also told Fox that he doesn't expect to be facing Tim Kaine or Joe Biden as an alternate. “No, I don’t think they’ll replace her. We have to see what’s wrong,” he said. “But whatever it is, it is, I’m ready. Whatever it is.”
In regard to his own health, Trump promised to reveal "very, very specific numbers" from a physical he had last week, reports Fox News. “I think they’re going to be good. I feel great,” he said. Meanwhile, the Clinton campaign—under fire for not revealing the Friday diagnosis—said it didn't handle the initial response to her health scare well, reports Politico. “We could have done better yesterday, but it is a fact that public knows more about HRC than any nominee in history," tweeted Jennifer Palmieri, communications director.
