Entertainment Tonight host Nancy O'Dell is the woman Donald Trump admits he "moved on ... like a b----" but "couldn't get there" in audiotape heard 'round the world, and she has this to say about that, via ET Online: "Politics aside, I’m saddened that these comments still exist in our society at all. When I heard the comments yesterday, it was disappointing to hear such objectification of women. The conversation needs to change because no female, no person, should be the subject of such crass comments, whether or not cameras are rolling. As a woman who has worked very hard to establish her career, and as a mom, I feel I must speak out with the hope that as a society we will always strive to be better."

There's a coda to the story, with the Washington Post noting TMZ reporting from 2007 that Trump tried to have O'Dell fired two years later as host of the Miss Universe pageant, allegedly because she was pregnant at the time. NBC had the final call on the matter, and O'Dell hosted the pageant. Meanwhile, Trump apologized for the videotape on Saturday; ET notes that Billy Bush, who was also on the tape, apologized, saying, "Obviously I’m embarrassed and ashamed. ... I was younger, less mature, and acted foolishly in playing along." The GOP, meanwhile, is in crisis. (More Nancy O'Dell stories.)
