When it comes to his dog or his truck, there's no question which one Florida man James O'Sicky loves most. "The truck is replaceable, the dog is not," the 31-year-old Jacksonville resident tells Action News Jax. After O'Sicky's 3-year-old pit bull mix Buddy Boy disappeared Wednesday, O'Sicky took to the internet to offer his 2002 Chevy Silverado as a reward for the dog's safe return. O'Sicky made the unlikely offer on multiple local Facebook pages, the Florida Times-Union reports.

And while O'Sicky has since realized he can't afford to give up his truck, the unusual offer drew the attention of friends and strangers alike, who have volunteered to search for Buddy Boy. “I can’t begin to thank all the people that are looking for my dog,” O'Sicky says. Those friends and strangers have also donated money to use as a reward, meaning whoever finds Buddy Boy is currently entitled to more than $5,000, People reports. (More missing dog stories.)
