Mike Comrie Investigated for Sexual Battery

Hilary Duff's ex-husband is being investigated for alleged sexual battery, the LAPD confirms to Us. Police did not give any further details, but TMZ, which first reported the story Wednesday, says Comrie met up with a woman, whom he's known for a long time, at a bar Saturday night and they went back to his condo together. Per TMZ's sources, she says he raped her multiple times, but he says the sex was consensual. She reportedly went to the hospital immediately afterward and got a rape kit administered. Sources say a second woman was also involved and that she has not alleged any misconduct.

Comrie, 36, played for the NHL for 13 years, retiring in 2012. He and Duff were married from 2010 to 2016 and have a son together, E! reports, noting that the two "have remained close for co-parenting's sake." Duff is in Costa Rica on vacation with her current boyfriend. (More Mike Comrie stories.)
