The 50-year-old former high-school teacher suspected of abducting his 15-year-old student may have been spotted Thursday in Texas, the Tennessean reports. Elizabeth Thomas was reported missing from Tennessee on March 13. Authorities say Tad Cummins, who has since been fired, appears to have planned the abduction and may have been grooming Thomas, according to WTVF. Authorities believe he's driving a silver Nissan Rogue with license plate 976ZPT. Someone called to report seeing a possible match for the vehicle traveling in Corpus Christi. Police were dispatched around 12:30pm, but no other details have been released. Authorities say Cummins and Thomas could be anywhere in the US. (More abduction stories.)
